Pick 5
Pick 5 is an Ohio Lottery game with two draws every day and the chance to take home as much as $50,000 on a $1 bet. Players can choose from Straight, Boxed, Pair or Back-Up wagers and it costs as little as $0.50 to play. Draws are held daily at 12:29pm EST (Midday) and 7:29pm (Evening), except for Saturday night. To enter the next draw, pick up your tickets before sales close at 12:25pm and 7:25pm. On Saturdays, the evening draw is held during the Cash Explosion Game Show, on TV statewide from 7:30-8:00pm. Ticket sales close at 7:45pm.
How to Play
Pick 5 is a five-digit game featuring various wager types for players to choose from, including Straight, Boxed, and a number of Front/Back wagers:
- STRAIGHT: If all five of your numbers are drawn in exact order, you win - up to $50,000 on a $1 bet (minimum wager $0.50).
- BOXED: If all five of your numbers are drawn in any order, you win. Wager $0.50 or $1. There are six boxed bet styles:
- 120-Way Boxed: Pick five unique numbers (e.g. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5)
- 60-Way Boxed: Pick a pair of the same number plus three unique numbers (e.g. 1, 1, 2, 3, 4)
- 30-Way Boxed: Pick two different pairs of numbers and one unique number (e.g. 1, 1, 2, 2, 3)
- 20-Way Boxed: Pick three of the same number and two unique numbers (e.g. 1, 1, 1, 2, 3)
- 10-Way Boxed: Pick three of the same number and a pair of another number (e.g. 1, 1, 1, 2, 2)
- 5-Way Boxed: Pick four of the same number and a unique number (e.g. 1, 1, 1, 1, 2)
- FRONT/BACK wagers: Bet the first two, three or four numbers, OR the last two, three or four numbers, in exact order. This adds up to six Front/Back bet styles:
- Front Four: If the first four unique numbers are drawn in exact order, you win (e.g. 1, 2, 3, 4, X)
- Back Four: If the last four numbers are drawn in exact order, you win (e.g. X, 2, 3, 4, 5)
- Front Three: If the first three numbers are drawn in exact order, you win (e.g. 1, 2, 3, X, X)
- Back Three: If the last three numbers are drawn in exact order, you win (e.g. X, X, 3, 4, 5)
- Front Pair: If the first two numbers are drawn in exact order, you win (e.g. 1, 2, X, X, X)
- Back Pair: If the last two numbers are drawn in exact order, you win (e.g. X, X, X, 4, 5)
- BACK-UP: Combines a Straight and Boxed bet in one ticket. A Straight win receives both the Straight and Boxed prizes. A Boxed win receives the Boxed prize. Minimum wager $1.
