The Arkansas Scholarship Lottery has a variety of awesome games for players to try their luck on, as befits one of the state's nicknames, "The Land of Opportunity." Since Arkansas Lottery tickets went on sale on September 28, 2009, the Lottery has contributed more than $1 billion to scholarship programs, assisting approximately 30,000 students in the state every year to achieve their college dreams.

Buying Tickets

You can buy Arkansas Lottery tickets at any authorized retailer in the state. If you're not a resident, you can still play whilst visiting. Another way to play is to order tickets online through licensed courier services such as Jackpot.com. An agent of the company will then go out and buy a ticket for you, with winnings transferred directly to your account.

Game Information

Arkansas residents can buy tickets for Powerball, Mega Millions and Lucky for Life, but they also have in-state lottery games that they can play.

Natural State Jackpot

The Natural State Jackpot offers players the chance to win a home-grown cash prize! Drawings take place every evening at 8:00 PM CST. The jackpot starts at $50,000 and increases by $5,000 per roll until it gets to $100,000, when the rollover amount jumps to $10,000 per draw until someone wins it.

Lotto

Lotto was launched in September 2022 to give Arkansas Lottery players the chance to win a jackpot of at least $250,000 on Wednesday and Saturday nights at 9 PM. Tickets cost just $2.

Cash 3

Cash 3 offers great prizes of up to $500 and there are plenty of chances to win with Midday draws held Monday through Saturday and Evening numbers drawn seven nights a week. You can bet as little as $0.50 and pick from a variety of play styles.

Cash 4

Cash 4 gives players the chance to play every day to win up to $5,000. Midday draws take place Monday through Saturday, while Evening draws are held every night. There are a choice of wagers and different play styles so you can find your favorite.

Other AR Lottery Games

The Arkansas Lottery also offers instant games which can be purchased from any authorized retailer. Simply scratch off the covering to see if you've landed a big cash prize! Ticket prices start at $1 and can offer up top prizes from $100 up to $2 million.

Claiming Arkansas Lottery Prizes

You've matched all five numbers in the Natural State Jackpot or uncovered a massive windfall on an instant game. Once you've taken a deep breath, you can start thinking about how to claim your prize. Players have just 180 days after the date of a drawing to claim any prizes and all instant game prizes must be claimed within 90 days of the end-of-game date.

Prizes of any amount may be redeemed by mail. Prizes worth $500 or less can also be claimed at any Arkansas Lottery retailer. If you've won $25,000 or more, make an appointment to come to the claim center in Little Rock in person if you prefer not to claim by mail. Email sandra.cummings@arkansas.gov to make a booking.

All prizes worth $5,000 or greater will be subject to a federal tax of 24% and the state of Arkansas will levy an additional tax of 4.9%.

Claim a prize of any amount by mailing these documents to the lottery:

  1. Signed original ticket
  2. Completed claim form
  3. Copy of a government-issued photo ID (such as a driver's license or passport)

History of the Arkansas Lottery

The Arkansas Lottery was established in late 2008 and began selling tickets for Powerball on October 31st, 2009, with state residents participating in their first Powerball drawing on November 4th, 2009. Mega Millions tickets went on sale in Arkansas on January 31st, 2010.

To date, over 770,000 Arkansas Lottery college scholarships have been awarded to students pursuing their dreams of earning a higher education. Without the revenue raised from Arkansas Lottery ticket sales, this impressive statistic wouldn't be possible.
