Jersey Cash 5 has daily drawings and a jackpot that is always worth at least $150,000. There are lots of ways to win and exciting features such as Bullseye and XTRA which make it stand out from other games.
How to Play
To play Cash 5, all you have to do is select five numbers from 1 to 45 or have five numbers randomly generated for you with Quick Pick. Use the Multi Draw area of your playslip to enter your numbers in up to 21 consecutive drawings.
Cash 5 costs $2 per play. You can also add Xtra for an additional $1 per play to potentially boost the value of your payout.
Drawings take place seven nights a week at 10:57 PM EST. Purchase your tickets by 10:53 PM to enter that evening's draw - otherwise you'll go in the next day's draw.
Cash 5 Bullseye
In every draw, five winning numbers are randomly selected. The fifth and final ball is the Bullseye, which gives you the chance to win bigger prizes.
If you match three or four of the five winning numbers, and one of those is the Bullseye, you get a larger payout. If you match just two out of five numbers you would not normally win a prize, but if one of the two is the Bullseye you get $5.
The XTRA feature multiplies both Bullseye and non-Bullseye prizes.
XTRA Multiplies Your Winnings
For $1 more per play, you can add the XTRA feature to increase the value of any non-jackpot prizes you win by up to five times. Just mark the circle on your playslip to add XTRA.
The XTRA number drawn is a multiplier that can increase your non-jackpot winnings up to five times!
For example, if the XTRA number drawn is two, then if you match three or four of the winning Jersey Cash 5 numbers, your prize is doubled. If the XTRA number is five and you match three or four of the regular numbers, your prize just got five times bigger!

Cash 5 Green Ball
The New Jersey Lottery has occasionally run 'Green Ball' promotions for Cash 5. The latest one ran from November 6 to December 3, 2023. This promotion gives you an extra chance to win at no extra cost, with a top prize of $50,000.
A separate 'Green Ball' draw is held every night during the promotional period. This draw features six white balls and one green ball. One is selected at random each night. If it is a white ball, it is removed from the machine for the next night's draw, increasing the chances of the green ball appearing next time.
If the green ball is selected, this triggers a second Cash 5 draw for that evening. Your numbers are entered again, and there is even another XTRA draw for another opportunity to win bigger prizes. The jackpot for this second draw is $50,000, while all the other prize amounts are the same.
Once the green ball has been selected, the process will start again the next day with all six white balls and the green ball in the machine. During a 28-day promotion, the green ball is guaranteed to appear at least four times, and it could be far more frequent than that.
