Pick 4

Pick 4 is a NM draw game where you can win up to $5,000 twice a day!

Prizes start at $1 and go up to $5,000, depending on the play type. The cost per play is just $1 per drawing.

Drawings take place seven days a week, twice per day, at approximately 1:00 PM (Day Drawing) and 9:30 PM (Evening Drawing), Mountain Time (MT). You can buy tickets right up until the draw time for both Day and Evening draws.

How to Play

Each playslip has five boards with letters A-E. Play up to five sets of four numbers per playslip ($1 per play).

Select four numbers from 0 to 9, or use Quick Pick to have the Lottery terminal randomly generate your numbers. Mark a number in each column of the playslip.

Choose one of the three play types:

• Straight (STR): Win by matching the numbers drawn in exact order.
• Box: Match the numbers drawn in any order to win.
• Straight/Box (STR/BOX): Win when you match the numbers drawn in EXACT and/or ANY order.
• Combo: Win by matching the numbers drawn in any order.

Add-on plays can also be selected:

• Front Pair: Win by matching the first two numbers drawn.
• Middle Pair: Win by matching the middle two numbers drawn.
• Back Pair: Win by matching the last two numbers drawn.

Pick a Draw Type: DAY, EVE, or DAY & EVE.

To play a future drawing (not valid for the current day), check the Advance Play box for the draw you want. If you don't select a draw, the play will be entered in the next draw.

With Multi Draw, you can play up to 14 drawings in a row - choose either DAY or EVE. You may also select DAY & EVE, in which case you'll receive tickets for up to 28 consecutive draws.

Pick 4 Prizes and Odds of Winning

Four numbers from 0 to 9 are drawn daily in the afternoon and evening. Depending on the play type you chose, you win the prize shown by matching the winning numbers. Check the table below to see how much you could win and the odds for each play type:

A winning ticket holder may win only one prize per play, in connection with the winning numbers drawn, and shall be entitled only to the prize won by those numbers in the highest matching prize category.

Match Front, Match Middle and Match Back

You can also win a Pick 4 prize by matching either the first two (Front), middle two (Middle) or last two (Back) numbers in EXACT order. Front, Middle and/or Back Pair can be played on their own or added alongside another play type. Each play will cost an additional $1. If played on their own, an asterisk (*) may show in place of the other two numbers on the ticket, as shown in the example in the table below. This is when you are not playing all four numbers drawn, as the other numbers will not have any impact on the win.
