Cash 4
Cash 4 is a four-digit game from the MS Lottery, with two draws every day for the chance to win prizes of up to $5,000, plus 13 fun play types and a choice of wagers.
The Midday draw is held every afternoon at 2:30 PM CT, followed by the Evening draw at 9:30 PM CT. Results are available soon after on the pages below, and drawings are also broadcast on local TV stations.
How to Play
Players can purchase tickets from any official MS Lottery retailer statewide. Pick up a play slip and choose four digits from 0000 through 9999 (for example, 1234). You can play up to five times on a playslip (Panels A-E). To start playing even faster, check the Quick Pick box to let the lottery computer randomly generate your numbers. You can also select fewer than four numbers and Quick Pick will choose the rest.
Select your draw time: Midday at 2:30 PM, Evening at 9:30 PM, or Both.
You can purchase Cash 4 tickets for up to seven drawings in a row, including the next draw, by marking the Multi-Draw option on your play slip. It's the most convenient way to play your lucky numbers more than once. Your ticket will show the draw dates you've selected.
Cash 4 tickets start at $0.50 or $1, depending on which play type you choose. The wager amount and play type determines how much you can win, from $100 up to a top prize of $5,000 on a $1 play.
Play Types
Next, choose a play type - there are 13 to pick from, so you'll never get bored! Play types feature different ways to make a winning match with the numbers drawn, as well as varying prizes and odds. Below is a rundown of each play type and how to win; scroll down to the next section for examples of picks and winning sets.
- Exact Order: Win if your numbers match the numbers drawn in the exact same order. $0.50 or $1 wager.
- Any Order: Win if your numbers match the numbers drawn in any order. $0.50 or $1 wager. There are four ways to play:
- 4-Way: Play 1 unique and 3 same numbers.
- 6-Way: Play 2 pairs of same numbers.
- 12-Way: Play 2 unique and 2 same numbers.
- 24-Way: Play 4 unique numbers.
- Exact/Any Order: Win a prize if all your numbers match in Any Order, or a larger prize if your numbers match in Exact Order. $1 wager. There are four ways to play:
- 4-Way: Play 1 unique and 3 same numbers; win if you match in Any Order, or win even more if you match in Exact Order.
- 6-Way: Play 2 pairs of same numbers; win if you match in Any Order, or win even more if you match in Exact Order.
- 12-Way: Play 2 unique and 2 same numbers; win if you match in Any Order, or win even more if you match in Exact Order.
- 24-Way: Play 4 unique numbers; win if you match in Any Order, or win even more if you match in Exact Order.
- Combo: Covers all potential Exact Order combination of your numbers, and hence costs a little more. $4-$24 wager; four ways to play:
- 4-Way: $4 wager. Play 1 unique and 3 same digits; win if you match the number drawn in any order.
- 6-Way: $6 wager. Play 2 pairs of same numbers; win if you match the number drawn in any order.
- 12-Way: $12 wager. Play 2 unique and 2 same numbers; win if you match the number drawn in any order.
- 24-Way: $24 wager. Play 4 unique numbers; win if you match the number drawn in any order.
Fireball
Fireball is an option you can add to your Cash 4 play for even more ways to win. A Fireball drawing is held at the same time as the daily Cash 4 draws. A single Fireball number from 0 to 9 is drawn for the Midday draw at 2:30 PM, and one for the Evening draw at 9:30 PM.
If you add Fireball, you can replace one of the Cash 4 numbers drawn with the Fireball number to try to make a winning match. Fireball only replaces a drawn number, not a number on your ticket. You can win with the base game, with Fireball, or both. You can use Fireball with all Cash 4 play types, and it doubles the cost of your play.
Here's an example of how Fireball can work. Let's say you make an Exact Order play for $1 with the numbers 1234 for the Midday drawing and add Fireball, for a total cost of $2. The Lottery draws the numbers 1934 and the Fireball is 2. Your original play isn't a winner, but if you use the 2 from the Fireball to replace the 9, you make a 1234 match and win $1,350.
Cash 4 Prizes and Odds of Winning

Fireball Prizes and Odds of Winning
If you opted for the Fireball add-on to your base game ticket, the table below shows the prizes you could take home if you make a winning match using the Fireball number to replace one of the Cash 4 numbers drawn. Fireball doubles the cost of your play, as shown below - for example, a $0.50 base play increases to $1 with Fireball.
