Michigan Cash Pop
Michigan Cash Pop is a new game for the Great Lake State with quick-fire drawings, flexibility over how to play and great prizes. It launched on April 14, 2024.
There are four chances to win every hour, with drawings taking place at 14-minute intervals.
How to Play MI Cash Pop
Cash Pop is simple to play because, unlike most lotteries, there is only one winning number selected. This number is taken from a range of 1 to 15.
You can choose as many numbers - or Pops - as you wish. Select the 'Play All' option to enter all 15 numbers and guarantee yourself a payout. If you would prefer to play just one random number, select the 'Easy Pick' option.
The next decision to make is your wager amount - how much you want to pay for each of your selected numbers. The options are $1, $2, $5 or $10.
You can play your numbers in just the next draw, or in 2, 3, 4, 5, 10 or 15 consecutive drawings. The total cost depends on your wager amount, how many numbers you play, and how many consecutive drawings.
Cash Pop is available from Michigan Lottery retailers using a playslip or self-serve machine. You receive a separate ticket for each drawing played. Your selected number(s) will have a prize value shown alongside.
Drawings happen virtually all day long, between 5:00 AM and 2:59 AM.
Prizes and Odds of Winning
All you need to do to win a prize in Cash Pop is to match the number you have selected to the number that is drawn. The odds of winning are 1 in 15 for each number, and improve if you pick more numbers.
The prize you are playing for is the value shown on your ticket, so it can be different for different players. The value is generated randomly at the point of purchase, but also depends partly on how much you have wagered. The more you pay, the more you can win.
You can win up to $5,000 if you wager $10, although the odds of receiving one of the highest prizes on your ticket are not as favorable as the chances of a lower value being displayed.
