Kansas Keno
With draws held every four minutes, 23 hours a day, seven days a week, Kansas Lottery's Keno is a non-stop source of excitement and possibilities.
You can choose how to play and which prizes you want to aim for, but if you're going for the biggest jackpots you can win up to $100,000 in each game, or $300,000 if you play the Bull's eye option.
The first draw of the day is at 4:00 AM CT, and they continue all the way through to 3:00 AM CT. You can watch draws live to find out the winning numbers as they are selected.
How to Play
You have a few decisions to make when you play Keno in Kansas. The first is to consider how many spots (numbers) you want to play, from 1 to 10. You must also choose how much you want to wager per game, from $1 to $5.
When it comes to selecting your numbers, the range is 1 to 80. You can choose your own or request a Quick Pick if you would prefer to play a random selection.
You can play your numbers in just the next draw, or enter them in multiple consecutive draws. It is even possible to play up to 100 consecutive games. The total cost of your ticket is based on how many draws you enter, multiplied by your selected wager amount.
When the draw takes place, 20 winning numbers are selected at random from 1 to 80.
Bull's-eye
You can select the Bull's-eye option on your playslip to increase your chances of winning, and to give you the opportunity to land even bigger prizes. If you play Bull's-eye, the cost of your wager is doubled.
In each Keno draw, one of the 20 winning numbers is randomly picked out as the Bull's-eye number. If you have selected the Bull's-eye as one of your chosen numbers, you are guaranteed a prize. If you've played the 10 Spot game, matched all your numbers and got the Bull's-eye, you receive $300,000.
Prizes and Odds
You win prizes by matching all or some of the numbers you have selected to the numbers that appear in the Keno draw. Depending on which version of Keno you play, you have to match a different amount of numbers. For example, if you play the 5-Spot game, you must match at least three numbers. In the 9-Spot game, you must match at least four numbers.
There are progressive jackpots in the 6-Spot, 7-Spot and 8-Spot games. This is a bonus prize that increases when nobody wins in those particular games, and is shown on Keno monitors.
The prizes shown below are based on a $1 wager. Your total payout can be calculated by multiplying the prizes stated below by your wager amount, although the maximum is $100,000, or $300,000 with Bull's-eye.
In exceptional circumstances, when the total prize fund for a game would exceed $1.5 million, prizes may have to be paid out on a pari-mutuel basis instead.
