World lotteries continue to rollover
Monday February 22nd 2010This year seems to be a year of rollovers for the various world lottery games so far and this has created some incredibly rich people. Of course, this is what we all dream of when we play the lottery, but the amount and the frequency of lottery rollovers and multi rollovers so far this year has be unprecedented and after the lottery draws over the weekend, it seems that this is a theme that is set to continue. Not that we should complain as this makes the lottery games more exciting.
The US multi state lottery, MegaMillions seems to be the one to watch at the moment. This lottery has rolled over again, which has bumped its jackpot up to a massive £83 million. Not forgetting the other US multi state lottery game, PowerBall. This game has also rolled over again creating an impressive $76 million jackpot.
Turning to Europe, the EuroMillions has rolled over after the draw on Friday and now boasts a jackpot of €29 million. Slightly ahead is the Italian Lottery game SuperEnalotto. Although low by it’s owns standards this now has a jackpot of €38.5 million but will probably continue to rise for some weeks yet, although not guaranteed.
Another world lottery game that is well worth a mention, but does not tend to feature very often is Mega Sena. This is the largest lottery in Brazil and currently has a jackpot R$61 million after rolling over again after the last draw. So although maybe not as popular worldwide as some of the other lottery games, it is right up there with them in terms of prize money and when you consider which game to buy lottery tickets for, you might want to bear the Mega Sena in mind.
