UK EuroMillions winners

Thursday June 17th 2010

It is no secret that the Brits have done very well in the EuroMillions so far this year and it will come as no surprise that the jackpot winners from the last draw which took place on Friday 11th June were also from the UK. The UK EuroMillions winners are a couple from Greater Manchester and after matching all of the numbers drawn, the lucky pair walked away with a massive £12.4 million jackpot. But this is not the only win that they had last weekend. They also won £10 on the National Lottery, £20 on a scratch card and a £25 Premium Bond.

Sharon and Nigel Mather were unaware of their EuroMillions win as they were on holiday in Minehead with their two young sons at the time, who are both under four years old. After the draw took place they did not check their lottery numbers until they returned home on the Sunday following the EuroMillions draw, although they did purchase their lotto ticket while they were away.

The couple plan to use their EuroMillions win wisely and keep both feet on the ground. Although dream cars seem to be inevitable as it is with most Lottery winners who scoop a prize of this kind. They plan to help out family and friends and Mrs Mather intends to leave her part time job as an information service officer. Mr Mather initially plans to take a year out from his job to give himself time to come to terms with this latest lottery windfall. As a hotel manager, he has had to work on Christmas Day for the past 25 years and thanks to this EuroMillions win he can now take time out to spend Christmas with his family this year.
