The lottery organisers have announced that a single ticket wins the MegaMillions jackpot prize, which will now see the lottery jackpot return to its starting point of $20 million.
The winning MegaMillions lottery ticket was purchased by a local man in the town of Shenandoah, Virginia.
Although the news of the huge lottery win has travelled fast around the town, the community will have to wait until Monday for official confirmation from lottery organiser, however resident are naturally thrilled for whoever the winner may be. The lottery retailer who sold the winning lottery ticket, talks openly about the winner, saying that the winner plays the lottery randomly and does not spend a huge amount of money on playing the game. The lottery retailer, Valley’s Exxon, will also receive a $50,000 bonus for selling the winning MegaMillions ticket.

This win is the second largest jackpot in the Virginia Lottery and the Virginia Lottery also say that the odds on having the winning ticket were one in 176 million.
