Search for the EuroMillions Winner
Saturday August 1st 2009A €77,500 EuroMillions Lotto prize remains unclaimed by a lucky punter who purchased a ticket in Limerick. As the search for the EuroMillions winner goes on, people are being urged to search their pockets and bags to check whether they are the illusive winner.
The owner of Deerpark Dairies, from where the winning lottery ticket was purchased, says “the worst part of it is, it’s not me. We had no idea we had sold a winning ticket for the Euromillions lottery until a rep came to see us”.
A second person, from Ireland also had 5 numbers and has collected their €77,500 lottery prize. But the second winner still remains a mystery.
The winning Euromillions ticket which has 5 numbers on it, could have secured a share of a €57m win had it had the lucky stars on it. This lottery prize was won by 1 lucky winner in Europe. The winning numbers were 2, 8, 17, 32, 50 and the lucky stars were 3 and 7.
As Deerpark Dairies is near a train station, it is possible that someone travelling by train purchased the ticket before travelling out of the city. Deerpark Dairies who have been lottery agents for 5 year, are very surprised that this the 1st winning ticket they have sold as there sales are very good.
Anyone who may have purchased a ticket from the area may not have been local and may not realise that it was this particular shop from which they bought the ticket, so anyone who did buy a ticket in Limerick is urged to check their tickets thoroughly.
This is just another example of why you should buy lottery tickets online; the account you create is registered to your address and therefore you can be contacted instantly.
