Rollover Frenzy in Lotteries This Week

Wednesday July 25th 2012

There must be something in the air at the moment, as some of the worldwide lotteries with the ability to reach eye boggling jackpots are still rolling. The US Powerball has currently rolled eight times and stands at an estimated jackpot of $121 million, having broken through the $100 million barrier. The Euromillions has rolled ten times to stand at a current estimated jackpot of $140 million, and the Texas Lottery currently stands at $23 million (estimated), after having rolled a massive 19 times.

And it seems Mega Millions might be creeping up behind them, too. Mega Millions hit headlines all over the world back in March 2012 for having its biggest ever jackpot of $656 million after rolling 18 times. It has currently rolled five times, and so we will be checking back on its progress after the next draw, which takes place on Friday 27th July 2012.

If you are a keen lottery player, either of one specific lottery or any international lottery, whatever you do, do not forget to check your tickets regularly to see if you are a winner. If you buy your lottery from a lottery retailer, no record is made of your purchase, and so you are reliant on keeping your ticket safe and checking the numbers to see if you are a winner. If you buy online, you do have the added convenience of receiving a scanned copy of your ticket via email. Also, the Lottery Concierge will also inform you if you have winning numbers.

But remember either way to check carefully, as there are millions in lottery winnings which go unclaimed each year, usually though ticket holders not checking their results or losing their tickets. And if you were the winner of one of these impressive rollovers in the future, wouldn’t you want to claim your prize straight away?
