Powerball Lottery draw ends in another jackpot rollover
Thursday March 31st 2011The jackpot prize for the next Powerball draw now stands at an estimated $187million after last night’s game failed to produce a winner. A total of $153million was at stake and the winning numbers were 19, 20, 42, 56 and 58. The Power Ball was 37.
Four players in Connecticut, Colorado, Florida and Texas, and two in Louisiana, matched five of the main numbers to scoop $200,000.
Another player in New Jersey also matched five numbers, but because they spent an extra dollar on the Powerplay option, their winnings are boosted to a cool $1million.
Players in Britain fared better last night, and two new UK millionaires were made by the Lotto draw. Both players matched all six main numbers, 10, 16, 17, 21, 39 and 41, and walked away with more than £1.3million each. The bonus ball for the draw was 47.
The next Powerball lottery draw will be held on Saturday, April 2, but anyone who can’t wait to try out their luck before the weekend can buy a lottery ticket for tonight’s Italian SuperEnalotto draw. The estimated jackpot is €36.5million.
