The ticket was purchased at Pronto Pizza on West 48th Street, near Rockefeller Center in New York, and matched all six numbers in the September 21 draw: white balls 36, 41, 45, 51 and 56, and the Mega Ball 13.

No doubt Manhattanites hungry for both pizza and lottery wins will be lining up at the restaurant hoping for some of that luck to rub off on them.

The winner will enjoy the Mega Millions top prize estimated at $432 million if they take the annuity option, or a $315 million cash value!

The winner may choose either payout option. The annuity reflects the value of the prize if invested over several decades and paid in annual instalments. The cash option is the current amount in the jackpot prize pool, and is paid as a one-time lump sum.

The September 21 draw also saw some other big winners nationwide. A ticket in Connecticut took home the $1 million Match 5 second prize by matching the five white balls.

In addition, 25 winners matched four of the white balls and the gold Mega Ball to hit the $10,000 third prize. Six of those are worth $30,000 because they included the Megaplier add-on for $1 more. Last night's Megaplier was 3X, so the prizes tripled in value!

There were a total of 1,065,466 winning tickets in Tuesday's draw, in addition to the jackpot winner in NY. Have you won a prize? Check your tickets now and find out instantly.

The Mega Millions jackpot was last hit in Crestwood, Illinois on June 8 - that prize is still unclaimed. Over the 30 drawings of this run, there were more than 17.2 million winners, with 30 tickets scoring the Match 5 prize of $1 million or above.

New York has already scored one previous Mega Millions top prize in 2021. An Oneida County couple hit a $96 million jackpot on February 16. The game's other jackpots won this year are:

Your next chance to score the Mega Millions jackpot is Friday, September 24, when a $20 million top prize - the game's current starting jackpot value - is up for grabs ($14.5 million cash option).
