New Yorkers will soon get the chance to grab some sweet cash prizes and trips around the state thanks to a brand-new scratchcard set to debut later this year. Designed to promote tourism around the state, the “I Love NY” scratchcard has a top cash prize of $25,000 and offers players the chance to experience everything the Empire State has to offer.

Winners of the 15 non-cash prizes will get to visit the Adirondacks, Niagara Falls, the Finger Lakes, Cooperstown and New York City. Anyone with a non-winning scratchcard from the game can enter it into a second-chance drawing for the opportunity to win additional trips, $50 scratchcards or even “I Love NY” merchandise.

The scratchcard was revealed earlier this week by Governor Andrew Cuomo, who has put his weight behind a new marketing push for tourism outside of the NYC area. It’s part of a huge investment in the upstate region, which has also just received $2 million in state funding for new campgrounds. Adverts displaying the outdoor-focused “I Love NY” campaign will be displayed on hundreds of buses in New York City while Adirondack Park has been given a new website and mobile app to enhance visitors’ experiences.

The “I Love NY” scratchcard will be available for purchase this fall. In the meantime, the New York Lottery offers plenty of fun scratchcards and draw games, including New York Lotto, whose jackpot now stands at a whopping $30 million for tonight’s drawing.
