About NY Lotto

Lotto offers a great jackpot that starts at $2 million and keeps rolling until it's won. It costs $1 to play two Lotto games. Pick six numbers from 1-59, and win the jackpot by matching all the numbers drawn. The overall odds of winning a prize are 1 in 92.05.

Lotto also features a seventh Bonus Number that determines who hits the second prize. To win, match five main numbers plus the Bonus Number.

Lotto prize amounts are a percentage of sales, so their value depends on the volume of tickets purchased. 40 percent of each draw's sales go to prizes, and each prize is a percentage of this 40 percent:

  • Jackpot: 75 percent. Match all six numbers to win.
  • Second prize: 7.25 percent. Match five numbers and the Bonus Number to win.
  • Third prize: 5.5 percent. Match five numbers to win.
  • Fourth prize: 6.25 percent. Match four numbers to win.
  • Fifth prize: 6 percent. Match three numbers to win.
