Megamillions Rolls Again
Wednesday February 29th 2012It was on the 24th January 2011 that we last saw a jackpot winner for the multi-state American lottery game Megamillions . The last big winner, Marcia Adams who is 33, picked up her cheque for $72 million recently – over a million more than the advertised jackpot after final sales were tallied. Since then we haven’t seen a winner and the Megamillions jackpot rolled again in last night’s draw, the tenth rollover. The Megamillions results for Tuesday 28th February were 6, 15, 29, 39, 51 with the Mega Ball 36 and Megaplier 3.
Whilst there were no jackpot winners last night there were four players who matched the five main numbers drawn for a $250,000 prize. These winners were from Delaware, Tennessee and two winners from Pennsylvania. In total the Megamillions results last night produced over 689,000 winners of which over half took the lowest prize of just $2 for matching just the Mega Ball.
Of the numbers drawn in the Megamillions results last night 39 is actually the second most common drawn appearing for the 160th time as a main ball. On the opposite end of the spectrum the number 51 is actually the least often drawn number coming out in last night’s Megamillions results for just the 111th time.
ith no jackpot winner from last night’s draw this means that the estimated jackpot for Friday is an impressive $108 million, an amount that we haven’t seen since December 2011 when the jackpot continued to roll until it was won by Daniel Bruckner, 35 who purchased a Quick Pick ticket from the King Kullen supermarket.
