MegaMillions and Powerball Jackpots Continue To Climb
Wednesday May 1st 2013The top prize values of the two American national lottery games, Powerball and MegaMillions, continues to climb this week as both jackpots remain elusive. The Powerball lottery saw its eighth rollover after the weekend draw on Saturday 27th April 2013 and MegaMillions has just rolled over for the fourteenth time after no-one managed to hit the jackpot last night. But what does this mean for the value of the jackpots?
Although MegaMillions has been rolling over for more draws, it is the Powerball lottery which has the largest top prize. The draw taking place tomorrow now has an estimated annuity value of US$165 million (with an approximate cash value of US$107.7 million), for the player who successfully matches all five numbers and the Powerball. However, now that the state of California has joined in the Powerball lottery, the extra ticket sales could mean that the jackpot on the night comes out even higher!
Following another rollover last night, MegaMillions has amassed a jackpot with an estimated annuity value of US$126 million and an approximate cash of US$95 million. As no player in the last fourteen draws has managed to correctly match up all five numbers plus the Mega number, will any players in this Friday’s draw be lucky enough to break the run of rollovers?
Will you be the lucky player? Players are advised to buy their tickets in plenty of time prior to each draw and choose their numbers carefully as these twin jackpots are just waiting to be won. There is only one guarantee – if you don’t play, you won’t win!
