In 2005, he also won $250,000 on Mega Millions, which he used to put a deposit down on a house for himself, his wife and their two children. During the Christmas holidays this year, he decided to purchase tickets for Multi-Match while stopping to put gas in his truck at a Safeway located in Waldorf, near Washington D.C.

The lucky winner plans to pay off the mortgage on the house he purchased with his Mega Millions winnings and put some of it away for his childrens’ future use. A vacation is also on the cards. “It’s great to be back,” he said when he came to pick up his latest windfall at the Maryland Lottery headquarters.

If you think that you can follow in the footsteps of this obviously very lucky man, then why not give Mega Millions a try on Friday, January 2nd? There’s a rollover jackpot worth $188 million - more than enough to start 2015 in style. Visit the Mega Millions page to learn more about this interesting interstate lottery game.
