Lottery World Gripped by EuroMillions Jackpot
Monday September 12th 2011After a weekend of exciting lottery draws the lottery world is gripped by the EuroMillions jackpot as the Tuesday draw looms closer. Friday night saw this lottery game roll over for a twelfth consecutive time to bring a mind blowing €159/£138 million for the next draw that will take place on Tuesday 13th September. Although EuroMillions is technically a European lottery game the interest will be worldwide and with a jackpot of this size, it is not difficult to see why.
The numbers drawn on Friday were 5, 21, 28, 31, 34, with Lucky Stars 1 and 2. Despite there being no jackpot winner for the EuroMillions this weekend there were five other players who won a tasty sum by matching the main numbers and one Lucky Star and are now around €469,000 richer which converts to around £404,000 in UK currency.
Not only are we hoping for the UK single ticket lottery win of £161 million to be smashed when a winner is eventually produced on the EuroMillions but we are also mindful that the $190 million jackpot cap for EuroMillions is also getting much closer too and if we are lucky enough to see this cap reached, the EuroMillions will then become a completely different ball game. This means that the jackpot will not rise beyond this amount and any further prize funds generated by ticket sales will be divided between winners in the next prize tier to find winners, so prizes get higher for the non-jackpot winners.
Will it get to this point? Time will tell.
