Lottery organisers search for last two millionaires

Monday January 10th 2011

Lottery bosses in charge of the Christmas Eve EuroMillions Millionaire Raffle have appealed for the final pair of winning ticket holders to come forward. The raffle smashed a world record by creating the most millionaires in one go, but two of the 25 millionaires created on the night have yet to come forward to claim their £1million prizes.

One of the tickets was bought in the Watford and Hemel Hempstead area, and has the winning selection DGV087857 printed on it. The other ticket was bought in the Leeds area and contains the final winning selection DWG560374.

However, the two Millionaire Raffle winners are not the only people who have so far failed to claim a big prize following the Christmas Eve draw. A lottery player who decided to buy lottery tickets in Harrow, London, has a prize of £388,384 waiting for them, after matching five main numbers and one lucky star.

A lottery spokesperson urged EuroMillions players to hunt high and low for their tickets.

They said: “Try checking in the pockets of clothing, in wallets, bags and down the back of the sofa. We have the champagne on ice and our fingers crossed that the lucky winners come forward.”
