Georgia’s Jumbo Bucks Lotto Comes to an End
Friday November 15th 2024The Georgia Lottery’s long-running Jumbo Bucks Lotto game has been discontinued, with ticket sales brought to an end just ahead of the final draw on Thursday November 14th.
The game ended in style as there was a $12.9 million jackpot up for grabs. Nobody matched all the numbers, so winners in the second tier had their prizes multiplied by five.
Five lucky ticket holders therefore had their $500 payout boosted to $2,500. More than 6,400 other players also picked up prizes. Go to the Numbers page to see all the results from Jumbo Bucks history.
“Thank you for your loyal support of Jumbo Bucks Lotto over the years,” said the Georgia Lottery in a statement as the end of the game was announced.
Jumbo Bucks Lotto launched in February 2015 and soon created its first winner - a player from Tennille who landed $2.1 million. Many more ticket holders have lifted the jackpot over the past decade, including a record $15.2 million payout to someone from Jefferson in July 2023.
Draws took place on Monday and Thursday evenings, with a jackpot that started at $1 million and increased by $100,000 every time it was not won. You had to match six numbers from 1 to 47 to get the top prize, but there were also prizes for matching three, four or five. The Cash Match add-on for $1 more had instant prizes of up to $500.
If you have a winning Jumbo Bucks ticket, you can still claim prizes for up to 180 days after the draw date.
The Georgia Lottery offers a range of other in-state games that Jumbo Bucks fans can enjoy, including Cash 3, Cash 4, Fantasy 5, Cash Pop and Georgia Five. Multi-state lotteries Powerball, Mega Millions and Cash4Life are also available.
