The ticket was bought by 69 year old Ted Newton on behalf of the lottery syndicate, which consists of himself, his wife and their three adult children. The win, which came from a Wednesday evening rollover game on the National lottery, was not a game that the family normally took part in, however, as this scheduled game was a rollover, on this particular occasion, Ted had decided to make an exception for this game and it has proved to be the best exception that he has made for himself and his family, bagging them the jackpot for that particular draw. The winning numbers for the lottery syndicate were generated by using the lucky dip feature of the UK National Lottery.

Ted and his wife have already retired, and enjoying their recent win, but for the time being, their children, the other syndicate members have decided to carry on with their current employment. But who knows what the future will hold for them after this fabulous life changing win.

The last jackpot drawn on Saturday 25th July 2007 was £4,739,811. The winning numbers were 08 17 30 32 38 40 and the bonus ball was 04.  Whilst the next jackpot is currently standing at an estimated £2.4M and is scheduled to be drawn on Wednesday 29th July 2009 and you canbuy lottery tickets online for the next draw here at aLottery.
