EuroMillions winner breaks UK record

Monday May 17th 2010

It is hoped that the identity of Britain’s biggest ever lottery winner will be revealed this week as Friday’s EuroMillions winner breaks the UK record. There was an estimated €86 million up for grabs on for the draw on Friday night and one lucky ticket holder in the UK has walked away with the whole lot. The largest single ticket win was previously held by EuroMillions winners Nigel Paige and Justine Laycock who won £56 million also on the EuroMillions earlier this year. The winning numbers for this latest draw were 1, 17, 31, 43, 47 and Lucky Stars 2 and 3.

Lottery fever has been sweeping across Europe over the last week as players rushed to buy lottery tickets in their bid to scoop this massive prize. However, it was another UK player who became the victor in the EuroMillions this time around and of course another millionaire will have also been created in the UK from the EuroMillions by winning the Millionaire Raffle.

This latest £84.4 million EuroMillions win is of course a huge amount of money and this could mean that the winner may take some time to come forward as they seek advice about handling their newfound fortune. It is equally likely that they may even opt to keep their identity secret to avoid the inevitable media scrum that will follow such a large win, but even this could prove not to be enough to remain completely anonymous.

Either way, you can be sure that if and when this latest EuroMillions winner reveals themselves, we will bring that news to you right away.
