EuroMillions Double Rollover

Tuesday July 7th 2009

A EuroMillions double rollover has created a jackpot worth €42 million (around £36 million) for the draw this Friday 10 July, 2009. That makes it one of the biggest lottery jackpots in the world this week, though it is still some way behind the $133 million offered by the Mega Millions game.

The great thing for those of you who buy lottery tickets online is that you can participate in lottery games around the world without ever having to leave the comfort of your own home. So if you fancy having a stab at the €42 million EuroMillions jackpot and also at the €133 Mega Millions jackpot, you can do just that. You could also enter yourself into the Powerball and UK Lotto draws for good measure!

EuroMillions requires you to select five main numbers from the range 1 to 50 and two supplementary numbers (referred to as Lucky Stars) from the range 1 to 9. You need to match all seven of your selections to win the jackpot outright (or a share thereof if there is more than one winner) and the odds of doing that are 1 in 76,275,360. The odds of winning any EuroMillions prize at all are around 1 in 24.

Mega Millions requires you to select five main numbers from the range 1 to 56 and 1 supplementary number (referred to as the Mega ball number) from the range 1 to 46. As with EuroMillions, you need to match all of your selections to win the jackpot outright, and the odds of doing this are 1 in 175,711,536. The odds of winning any Mega Millions prize at all are 1 in 40.

Whether you choose to go for the €42 million EuroMillions double rollover jackpot, or for the even bigger $133 million Mega Millions, or for both lotteries at once, be sure to check your lottery results promptly so that you can begin any necessary celebrations as soon as possible. Good luck!
