EuroMillions Big Tuesday Superdraw Rolls Over

Wednesday October 5th 2011

Last night’s EuroMillions Big Tuesday draw failed to make anyone jackpot winners with the top prize of £86,290,000/€100,000,000. This now means that the jackpot for the EuroMillions rolls over to the next draw and the jackpot is now estimated at £100/€119 million. The impressive jackpot on offer to win last night was due to the fact that it was a EuroMillions Superdraw so it automatically had a high jackpot, regardless of the previous jackpot amount.

Although nobody managed to find the winning numbers last night to become the first EuroMillions jackpot winner in October there were a high amount of winners overall. There were over three million players who all won a prize in one of the other 12 prize tiers. Six lucky players won £226,367/€338,121 by matching five numbers and one Lucky Star and over 800,000 players matched two numbers and one Lucky Star to walk away with £5.70/€8.60.

As last night was a EuroMillions Big Tuesday Superdraw these do not happen very often - roughly twice a year - and it can be seen that the past four EuroMillions Superdraw jackpots were not collected on the night. They rolled to the following draw where they were then won by a handful of very lucky players. We will have to wait and see if it will be fifth time lucky for a player when the next EuroMillions draw takes place on Friday 7th October.

With some big wins already under the EuroMillions belt this year, only time will tell if this will be the first rollover of many for this pan European lottery – watch this space!
