Deadline looms for unclaimed National Lottery prize
Wednesday November 25th 2009Time and time again we hear news of lottery prizes worth thousands of pounds are left unclaimed and today we hear of another which is heading that way as the deadline looms for unclaimed National Lottery prize. The Torfaen player is sitting on a lottery ticket worth almost £190,000 and has until 30th November to claim this prize.
The draw which took place on a Wednesday evening, matched five numbers plus the bonus ball to scoop this prize. The UK National Lottery winning numbers were 4, 6, 22, 33, 35 and the bonus ball was 3.
All national Lottery winners are given 180 in which to claim any lottery wins and the deadline for this lottery win is almost upon us. If not claimed, the prize will then go to worthy causes.
It is shocking to see that this would not be the first time that a lottery player from the same area has missed out on a lottery prize by not claiming in time. Back in 2003 a staggering £2 million lottery win was given to good causes after the ticket holder failed to make a claim.
We wonder how many of these claims are missed purely because players have lost their tickets. It is so much quicker, easier and safer to buy lottery tickets online. If you are not in a position to do this, then we would urge lottery players to reserve a safe place at home to keep their lottery tickets to avoid these kinds of situations. In the meantime, if you are a player in this area, who may have bought a lottery ticket for this draw then please check your tickets if you still have them, search coat pockets and draws because someone is very close to missing out a this huge lottery prize.
