Cash Pop Set To Launch in Michigan
Wednesday April 10th 2024The Michigan Lottery is set to become the latest state to introduce a version of Cash Pop, with the one-digit game scheduled to begin on April 14th.
Cash Pop has been rolled out in a number of jurisdictions over the last few years as it offers a fresh twist on traditional lotteries, giving players more control over how to play.
It will be available from Michigan Lottery retailers and is set to follow a similar format to the Cash Pop games that are played elsewhere in the U.S.
How Cash Pop Works
In Cash Pop, only one winning number is selected from a range of 1 to 15. You can decide how many numbers - or Pops - to choose. It is even possible to select all 15 numbers for a guaranteed win.
You also get to choose your own wager amount, from a minimum of $1 to a maximum of $10. When your ticket is printed, a prize amount is printed alongside each of your selected numbers. This is how much you would win if that number is drawn.
The more you wager, the more you can win. In Michigan, the prize amounts will range from $5 to $5,000.
There will be four chances to win every hour, with drawings taking place every 14 minutes.
Sales from the game will go towards supporting the public education system in the Great Lake State. The Michigan Lottery has raised more than $28 billion for the School Aid Fund since 1972.
