Cash Pop Launches in North Carolina
Monday November 18th 2024The North Carolina Lottery has introduced Cash Pop, saying that ‘players will love how easy it is to play’. The game launched in the Tarheel State on Sunday, November 17th.
Cash Pop has proved to be a hit in several other states over the past few years and the NC Lottery has decided that now is the right time to bring it in. It has been four years since Fast Play became the last draw game to be rolled out in North Carolina, and weeks of extensive game testing have shown that Cash Pop is ready to begin.
How Cash Pop Works
Cash Pop just requires you to select one number between 1 and 15, although you can pick more. You also get to choose your wager amount - in North Carolina, the available options are $1, $2, $5 and $10.
The NC version will work to the same format as other states, so the number(s) printed on your ticket will be accompanied by a randomly-generated prize amount. This is how much you’ll receive if that number is drawn.
The fact that only one number is selected in a draw makes the game stand out from the crowd, and you can win up to 2,500 times your wager amount. There’s also lots of chances to win, with five drawings a day - at 9:00 AM, 1:00 PM, 5:00 PM, 8:00 PM and 11:59 PM ET.
North Carolina Lottery officials are confident that it will be a success, due to its simplicity and great odds of winning. Lottery CEO Mark Michalko said in a press release: “What's fun and unique about Cash Pop is you only have to match one number in a drawing to win. We believe lottery players will love how easy this game is to play.”
15th Cash Pop State
North Carolina becomes the 15th state to offer Cash Pop. Michigan, Maryland and Maine also started selling tickets earlier this year, continuing the game’s explosion in popularity across the U.S. The New Jersey Lottery had been the very first state to launch Cash Pop back in 2019.
It is played the same way everywhere, with only minor differences such as how many draws take place a day.
You can find the latest NC Cash Pop numbers right after every drawing. Go to the North Carolina page to keep up to date with the state’s other games such as Pick 3, Pick 4 and Cash 5.
