$50 Million Mega Millions Jackpot Won in Missouri
Wednesday March 13th 2019The Mega Millions jackpot has been won for the second time in less than two weeks! One ticket in Missouri has won the estimated $50 million jackpot in the March 12 drawing.
The winning ticket matched all six numbers drawn on Tuesday – white balls 10, 12, 16, 49 and 57, plus the gold Mega Ball which was 18. The cash option amount is estimated at $30.2 million.
This is the second Mega Millions jackpot ever won in Missouri. $25 million was won on July 31, 2015.
Unusually, the Mega Millions jackpot was last won less than two weeks ago, on March 1, 2019. New Jersey man Michael J. Weirsky was the lucky winner of the $273 million top prize.
Prior to this, the jackpot was last won on January 1, when the $437 million jackpot was shared by a group of 23 coworkers in New York.
The jackpot has now reset to $40 million ($24.1 million cash), its default starting amount. Will the run of jackpot wins continue? We’ll know when the next drawing takes place on Friday, March 15!
