Winning Ticket Bought from Fat Daddy’s RoadDog

The winning numbers were 4, 5, 10, 12 and 18, alongside the Mega Ball 21. It has emerged that the jackpot winner bought their ticket from Fat Daddy’s RoadDog on 2901 Main St, Moraine, and the convenience store will now receive a $100,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket. The winner now has 180 days from the date of the drawing to come forward and claim their prize.

There were 508,464 winners overall on the night, with twelve Match 5 + 0 winners of $1 million each and thousands of other winners in the seven other prize tiers. A full prize breakdown can be found on the Results page. The jackpot had been rolling over for nine draws, ever since a New Jersey ticket holder won a staggering $533 million jackpot on Friday 30th March 2018.

The Buckeye State Celebrates Another Jackpot Win

The Buckeye State joined Mega Millions in 2002, and there have now been 19 jackpot winners from Ohio in the past 16 years. However, it’s the first time in three years the top prize has been won in the Midwestern state. The previous winner came on Friday 13th November 2015, when $202 million was claimed anonymously via the Lucky Duck Passive Trust of Columbus. The first ever jackpot won in the state was $162 million claimed by Rebecca Jones-Jemison on Tuesday 30th December 2003. She bought her winning ticket from the Quick Shop Food Mart in South Euclid.

Decisions The Top Prize Winner Must Now Make

The recently-crowned jackpot winner is yet to come forward and claim their prize, but they must decide whether to accept their top prize winnings as cash or annuity payments. An annuity payout would provide the winner with the full advertised amount of $143 million in 30 annual instalments. In contrast, the cash option would be a one-off payment worth $86.4 million pre-tax. Whatever the winner decides to do, they can look forward to a life of luxury once they’ve come forward to claim their prize.

Ohio is one of only six participating states that gives Mega Millions jackpot winners the option to remain anonymous. Along with Delaware, Kansas, Maryland, North Dakota and South Carolina, top prize winners have the option of going public with their win or staying anonymous. The winner must now decide which route to go down before contacting lottery officials.

The Mega Millions jackpot has been reset to $40 million ahead of the next drawing on Tuesday 9th May. Players can pick their numbers by visiting the Tickets page.

Are You a Lotto America Jackpot Winner?

A Powerball player who bought a ticket from Kwik Star, 2850 W. Locust St in Davenport, Iowa, randomly won a free play ticket for the Lotto America draw on Saturday 5th May. That free play ticket then went on to scoop the $4.38 million Lotto America jackpot after matching all five numbers plus the Star Ball. The winner has been urged to come forward and make contact with lottery officials, so all players should check their tickets if they won a free play ticket for Lotto America off the back of entering Powerball.
