Jackpot USA
Jackpot USA is a Fast Play game offered across state lotteries. It has a progressive jackpot that starts at $1 million and can grow much higher.
It is a product of the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL), developed to combine the big jackpots of lotteries such as Powerball with the instant excitement of Fast Play games.
How to Play
Jackpot USA works in a similar way to other Fast Play games. You can take part through participating state lotteries - buying tickets through authorized retailers or self-service terminals. Each play costs $20.
There are two parts to each ticket. One game is called Liberty Spin. A series of random numbers are shown in a wheel (centred around an image of the Statue of Liberty). Each number has a prize value associated to it.
Beneath the wheel are your three 'Spin Numbers'. All you have to do is add them up, and if the sum matches a number on the Liberty Spin wheel, you win the associated prize.
The second part of the ticket gives you another chance to win and is known as the USA Bonus Game. A 3x3 grid shows nine icons - including the Golden Gate Bridge, Capitol Hill, the U.S. flag, a baseball, and so on - followed by a prize table showing how much each is worth. Find any two matching icons to win the corresponding prize.
Progressive Jackpot
Every time a ticket is bought, funds go towards the jackpot, just like with a traditional lottery. The value of the current jackpot will be displayed when you buy your ticket.
The difference is that it is a progressive jackpot that will be continuously growing as tickets keep getting sold. You don't have to wait for a draw to take place - you can win the grand prize immediately.
As it is a multi-state game, unlike other Fast Play offerings, the participating lotteries all pool the prize money together through Intralot's patented Jackpot Management System. This has been established specifically to process larger amounts of money than have ever been seen before with Instant Win games.
The jackpot starts at $1 million and could climb very quickly before it is won, due to the high volume of ticket sales across the country.
When the jackpot is won, it resets to $1 million.
Odds and Other Prizes
The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 1,000,000, far better than your chances of winning multi-state lotteries such as Powerball or Mega Millions.
There are a wide range of other prizes you can win, from $20 up to hundreds of thousands of dollars. Prizes can be won on one game or both on the same ticket. The payout percentage is 80%, meaning that four-fifths of the money spent on Jackpot USA is returned to players in prizes. The overall odds of getting a prize are 1 in 3.52.

Participating States
Jackpot USA launched in the District of Columbia and Idaho, making it the nation's first multi-state progressive jackpot Fast Play game.
It is an MUSL product, and the MUSL consists of lots of different members, all representing states and other jurisdictions. They all sell Instant games of some kind, so Jackpot USA could expand into many more states.
