Pick 3
Pick 3 plus Fireball is a game you'll only find in Illinois. Two draws every day give players double the chances to win prizes up to $500. The Midday draw is held seven days a week at 12:40 PM CT and the Evening draw takes place every night at 9:22 PM. Get your tickets before the draw close at 12:35 PM and 9:15 PM. Playing is as easy as picking your three lucky numbers and favorite play type; there are six to choose from. Add the plus Fireball option for even more ways to win.
How to Play
Select your three favorite numbers from 0-9 and mark one per line on the play slip - or let Quick Pick randomly choose them for you.
Choose one of six play styles according to how you want to match your numbers to the winning numbers:
- Straight: Match all in exact order
- Box: Match all in any order. If you chose 2 identical digits (for example, 112), it's a 3-Way Box play. Otherwise, it's a 6-Way Box.
- Combo: Play all Straight combinations (higher cost of $1.50 or $3 for 3-Way Combo; $3 or $6 for 6-Way Combo).
- Straight/Box: Match all in exact OR any order. If you chose 2 identical digits (for example, 112), it's a 3-Way Straight/Box play. Otherwise, it's a 6-Way Straight/Box.
- Front Pair: Match the first two digits in exact order (for example, 12X).
- Back Pair: Match the last two digits in exact order (for example, X23).
How much would you like to wager? For $0.50, you can win up to $250, and for $1, you can win up to $500. You can bet up to $5 per game. Please note Combo plays cost more because they are made up of all Straight combinations. 3-Way Combo costs $1.50 or $3. 6-Way Combo costs $3 or $6.
If you'd like to play your numbers for more than one day, mark the number of days to play: 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6.
Choose the draw you want to play: Midday, Evening, or Both.
Plus Fireball
Add the plus Fireball option to receive an extra number drawn for more ways to win and bigger prizes. Adding plus Fireball doubles your wager per game.
Prizes and Odds of Winning
The table below shows the prize tiers and chances of winning for each Pick 3 play type. The amount you can win depends on how much you wager, with a $1 play eligible for higher prizes than a $0.50 play. Adding the plus Fireball option gives you more chances to win.
