Cash 5

Cash 5 is a daily Connecticut game where tickets cost just $1 for the chance to win up to $100,000. Add the Kicker option for the potential to win more often and win on more prize tiers. Cash 5 is drawn every night at 10:29 PM ET, and ticket sales close temporarily at 10:20 PM before reopening at 10:46 PM.

How to Play

To start playing, all you need to do is pick five numbers between 1 and 35 or have them generated for you by selecting the Quick Pick option.

For the most convenient way to enter your lucky numbers in up to 26 future draws, mark the "Advance Action: Yes" box and mark the number of draws you want to play. If you enter the maximum 26 draws you'll get them for the cost of 25.

To play the same numbers from a Lotto ticket again, ask the retail clerk for a replay. A new ticket will print with an "R" for replay.

Kicker

The Kicker add-on gives you an extra number to try to make a winning match with the numbers drawn. Kicker costs an extra $0.50. Every Cash 5 ticket prints with six numbers, and the one on the far right is the Kicker number.

By default, the Kicker number is Not Active (N). However, if you activate it, a (Y) and "Kicker Active" message will be printed on the ticket. To activate Kicker, select the "Kicker? Yes" box on your play slip, choose an extra number that's different from your main numbers, and pay for the add-on.

Cash 5 Prizes and Odds of Winning

While Cash 5 prizes are usually fixed, they can become pari-mutuel if prize liability for a drawing goes over 350% of ticket sales for that draw. In that instance, prize amounts may differ from the advertised fixed amount. Here's what you could win on a regular $1 play:

Kicker Prizes and Odds of Winning

Here's an example of how you can use the activated Kicker number to win a prize:

• Cash 5 numbers on your ticket: 5-10-14-16-30 K: 12 Y
• Cash 5 winning numbers 5, 12, 14, 16, 30.

In this example, the Kicker (12) matched one of the numbers drawn, so you win a Match 4 Numbers + Kicker prize.
