Washington Lottery Set To Launch Cash Pop
Tuesday October 17th 2023Washington is to become the latest state to offer a version of Cash Pop, giving players the chance to win up to $500 just by matching one number between 1 and 15.
Cash Pop has been rolled out in a number of states across the past few years, since being developed by International Game Technology (IGT) as a new type of draw game that offers a lot of flexibility.
It has proven so popular elsewhere that the Washington Lottery will now also start to sell tickets, with the game launching on Monday, October 23.
How Does It Work?
Just like other versions of the game, WA Cash Pop requires you to pick one number - or Pop - from 1 to 15. You can choose more numbers if you wish, and even play all 15 for a guaranteed prize.
When you receive your ticket, each of your numbers will be assigned a prize value between $25 and $500.
Drawings take place every night at 8:00 PM PT, with a single number drawn at random. If you match that winning number, you get the prize shown on your ticket.
The main difference with WA Cash Pop compared to other versions of the lottery is that there is a fixed price of $5 per pop.
Which Other States Offer Cash Pop?
Cash Pop is currently available in Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia, while it is also set to begin in Maine in the near future.
In Washington, it joins a wide range of other games such as Lotto, Hit 5, Match 4, Pick 3 and Keno, along with the multi-state Powerball and Mega Millions.
