Delaware Lottery Launches New Play 5 Game
Wednesday August 28th 2024The Delaware Lottery has added to its range of games with the launch of Play 5, a twice-daily draw which offers prizes of up to $50,000.
Play 5 began on August 19th to provide a new source of revenue for the Delaware General Assembly, following a previous teaser announcement that said: “Kick back, relax and get ready to step into more summer fun this August with an all-new way to play and win from the Delaware Lottery.”
How Does Play 5 Work?
Play 5 works in a similar way to existing Delaware Lottery products Play 3 and Play 4, but the prizes are even bigger. To take part, you just need to select five numbers between 0 and 9.
There are more options for how to play than with most traditional draw games. You can decide how much to bet - $0.50 or $1 - and also pick between various play types.
To get the maximum payout of $50,000, you need to play a $1 Straight and match all five winning numbers in exact order. If you would prefer to chase a lower payout with better odds of winning, you could opt for a Box (matching the numbers in any order) or try to match fewer numbers in the correct positions. Go to the Play 5 page for more information.
Drawings are held at 1:58 PM ET and 7:57 PM ET every day. You can play either time or both, and enter up to seven consecutive days in advance.
Other Delaware Games
As well as its selection of ‘Play’ games, the Delaware Lottery also offers Multi Win Lotto, Keno and a host of multi-state games - Powerball, Mega Millions, Lucky for Life and Lotto America.
Since being established in 1974, the Delaware Lottery has contributed more than $6 billion to the state’s General Fund. This money benefits the education system, protects neighborhoods from crime and pollution, maintains parks and beaches, and ensures healthcare for families and seniors.
Thousands of players win prizes every week across the various games, and the new Play 5 is sure to create even more success stories. Keep up to date with the latest numbers after every draw.
