Upon collecting her seven-figure sum, Rother revealed that she regularly purchases her Powerball entries from Casey’s General Store at Five Points and was delight that her latest ticket, for the drawing on Saturday May 6th, correctly matched the numbers 11, 21, 31, 41 and 59. Had the lucky winner matched the Powerball, 21, she would have walked away with $149.2 million.

Rother told lottery officials that she had no idea that she was a millionaire and only learned of her win on Sunday evening. Accompanied by her husband, the pair checked their numbers on the web only to discover that they had won a life-changing prize. “I feel blessed every day when I get up,” she explained to reporters. “This was the extra icing on the cupcake.”

However, the winner of Nebraska’s 17th $1million Powerball prize insists that her lifestyle won’t alter drastically following this slice of good fortune. Rother maintains that she will continue teaching Sunday school classes at her local church, as well as volunteering at the Salvation Army in her spare time. “We’re not really going to change anything,” she smiled. “We’re very blessed.”

The selfless winner also intends to help her family, vowing to support her sister as she studies for a degree as a veterinary technician and help her son, niece and nephew have the best start in life. She also hinted that she might treat herself to a new grill to celebrate the big win.

If you fancy getting your hands on tonight’s Powerball jackpot of $165 million, you can pick your numbers online or play via any authorised retailer in participating states and jurisdictions. Best of luck!
