Rollover pushes Mega Millions jackpot to $62m
Wednesday December 1st 2010The multi-state Mega Millions lottery jackpot has rolled over once again, after no one managed to walk away with the top prize following last night’s draw. The numbers drawn on Tuesday, November 30 were 11, 16, 19, 47 and 53, and the mega ball was 2. Four ticket holders have each won a prize of $250,000 but no one managed to match all six numbers. As a result, anyone who decides to buy lottery tickets for this Friday’s Mega Millions draw will give themselves a chance of winning an estimated jackpot of $62million.
It is the sixth time that the jackpot has rolled over since a single Mega Millions player in Ohio matched all six numbers on November 9 and walked away with a cool $25million.
Serious money is also at stake in tonight’s Powerball Lottery draw, which will involve players in 44 different jurisdictions. The jackpot stands at $95million which would result in a cash payout of just under $50million.
