Powerball Jackpot Soars

Participating in the Powerball lottery is simple. All you have to do is select five numbers from 1 to 59 and an additional Powerball numbers from 1 to 39. The odds of someone landing the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 195,249,054, but the recent record EuroMillions jackpot payout has demonstrated that it is perfectly possible to beat long odds and win a massive amount of money in the process. The EuroMillions jackpot was worth £113 million, and the Powerball jackpot this Wednesday is worth around £111 million, so if EuroMillions eluded you, the Powerball jackpot might be a nice alternative!
Of course, the Powerball jackpot could rollover again, and in that event there would be even more cash up for grabs on Saturday 23 May, 2009. Add in a EuroMillions jackpot of €15 million (around £13 million) this Friday and a UK Lotto jackpot of £2.5 million this Wednesday and we could have a week full of big winners!
