Powerball and Mega Millions Jackpots Now Worth Over $800 Million

Since mid-April, both lotteries are still looking for their jackpot winners. With no winners on Monday for the Powerball top prize and no lucky ticket holders last Friday for the Mega Millions jackpot, now it’s just a waiting game.
So how much are these jackpots actually worth? The estimated jackpot for Powerball is now $462 million with a cash value (also known as a one-time payout) of $242 million. On the other hand, the Mega Millions jackpot is $343 million with a one-time payout of approximately $180 million.

Powerball draws are held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays at 10:59 p.m. In order to win the Powerball jackpot, you need to match all five main numbers from 1 to 69, as well as the Powerball number between 1 and 26. Mega Millions draws are held on Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 p.m. You can win the jackpot if you match five main numbers from 1 to 70, along with the Mega Ball number between 1 and 25. Biggest Jackpots
Although not worth negligent amounts, neither of the prizes are even close to the record jackpots. The largest Powerball jackpot was won in California in November 2022 and it was worth $2.04 billion. The top Mega Millions jackpot was $1.537 billion and was won in October 2018.
