The winner of the Channel 10 production was inundated with requests for his legendary cake featured on the show and has made the decision to hold a lottery style draw in which one hundred winners will win the right to purchase a $90 altered version of the cake.
5% of the proceeds made from the Oz lottery for chocolate mousse cake will be donated to the Children’s Hospital at Westmead; this charity has already benefited from the infamous cake as a recent auction saw slices sell for $125 each!
Whilst the Oz Lottery winners are no doubt celebrating champagne there are many that are willing to pay a little over the odds for a slice of this delicious cake from Adriano Zumbo. The big winners took home $53 million each and one couple from the Gold Coast had to check their tickets multiple times before it finally sank in that they had actually won the Oz Lottery. The other winner, a man from Adelaide, couldn’t move from his seat as he watched his numbers come up; he said “I couldn't move, I couldn't react, I couldn't do anything but sit there and stare at my ticket.”
