Wednesday May 27th 2020NASCAR Racing Riches could launch through state lotteries as soon as next year making it the first-ever lottery game based on live NASCAR race results.
The game is being developed as part of a multi-year deal between NASCAR and EquiLottery Games. NASCAR Racing Riches expands NASCAR's involvement in sports betting and offers a new way for fans to wager on live events.
“As our sports betting platform continues to mature, we are exploring even more ways to engage new and existing fans,” said Scott Warfield, Managing Director, Gaming, NASCAR. “We’re impressed with the development of this new live sports lottery category and the opportunities it affords NASCAR to ignite new passionate fans.”
NASCAR Racing Riches will be a weekly game based on the outcome of live NASCAR Cup Series races. Players will be able to purchase Quick Pick tickets that list three drivers who are competing in that week's race, and the game will run in conjunction with the Cup Series calendar.
Prize levels will run from $5 to $50,000 with a 7 to 1 overall chance of winning, which compares favorably with existing draw games.
EquiLottery Games is an innovative company that specializes in developing games of chance based on the outcomes of live sporting events.

Prior to signing the deal with NASCAR, EquiLottery had licensing agreements with Major League Baseball, IGT, and Penn National Gaming to produce a range of chance-based live sports games with U.S. and Canadian patents. It also has other top professional sports deals that have yet to be announced.
EquiLottery's Win Place Show is a three-number game based on live horse racing results - the first daily lottery game based on the outcome of a live U.S. sporting event.
Win Place Show was trialled by the Kentucky Lottery in March 2019 and was originally set to launch in April 2020 but was postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak. Tickets are tentatively scheduled to start being sold at all KY Lottery retailers in August 2020.
