Mississippi Cash 4 Arrives in January
Monday November 29th 2021If one of your New Year's Resolutions is to win the lottery, Mississippi is offering an extra way to try your luck - the state's latest draw game, Cash 4, debuts on Monday, January 10, 2022.
The Mississippi Lottery has announced that Cash 4 will be a daily game, giving players the chance to win prizes of up to $5,000 in every draw. Tickets will be offered by Lottery retailers statewide.
"Cash 4 operates very similarly to our draw-style game Cash 3," said MLC President Jeff Hewitt. "If you know how to play Cash 3, you know how to play Cash 4. Our players love new games, and this is one players familiar with surrounding lotteries have been anticipating. We are happy to add it to our portfolio and hope our players enjoy it."
Players will simply need to select any four-digit number from 0000 to 9999 - for example, 1234. A Quick Pick is also available to start playing even faster; the Lottery computer will randomly generate the four digits.
The game provides 13 fun play types to keep things interesting, with a selection of Exact Order, Any Order, Exact / Any Order, and Combo styles to sample.
Ticket prices start at $0.50 and $1, with a top prize of $5,000 on a $1 play.
"There are more ways to play and more ways to win," Hewitt explained. "Like Cash 3, regardless of how many people play or how many people win, the set prize amounts are the same."
Drawings will be held every night at about 9:50 pm CT, the same time as Cash 3, and the results will be posted at around 10:00 pm.
Players can also watch for the winning numbers on TV stations WCBI-Columbus, WXXV-Gulfport, WJTV-Jackson, WHLT-Hattiesburg, WMDN-Meridian and WGBC-Meridian; times may differ based on station schedules.
If you're lucky enough to win a Cash 4 prize, you can collect your payout of up to $599 at lottery retailers or the MLC headquarters. For wins of $600 and above, you'll need to pay a visit to MLC headquarters or claim by mail. Prizes of $100,000 and up must be claimed at MLC headquarters.
