Kentucky 5 To Finish in November
Friday October 18th 2024The Kentucky Lottery has announced that in-state game Kentucky 5 is coming to an end. The final draw is set to take place on November 2nd.
Kentucky 5 only launched in November 2022, giving lottery fans in the Bluegrass State another game to enjoy alongside more established options such as Cash Ball 225, Pick 3, Pick 4 and multi-state favorites Powerball, Mega Millions and Lucky for Life.
Draws have taken place every day, with jackpots starting at $40,000 and lots of other ways to win, including an Xtra feature.
The largest prize ever seen in Kentucky 5 came in June, when a single ticket holder landed $678,000.
However, less than two years after the game began, it has been confirmed that it will be ‘sailing off into the sunset’, with tickets no longer on sale from November 3rd.
You will still be able to claim any prizes from the game if you come forward within 180 days of the draw date.
One Final Chance
There will be a final opportunity for players to win great prizes after the last drawing is held, as a Second Chance promotion is going ahead to guarantee some big payouts.
If the jackpot is won in the last draw on November 2nd, $40,000 will be split between eight lucky winners. If the jackpot is not won, the prize fund will be 25 percent of its value. The remaining three-quarters will go towards other promotions.
Anyone who spends $5 or more on Kentucky 5 and enters their tickets into the Second Chance drawing will have a chance to win.
