EuroMillions winner has come forward
Friday February 5th 2010Those people who play the EuroMillions in the UK will be aware of the Millionaire Raffle which the UK has added to this lottery game. With a millionaire created every week from this add on to the EuroMillions, it was surprising that the winner from the draw on New Years Day had not claimed their £1 million prize. As with all unclaimed prizes, an appeal was launched in a desperate bid to find the lucky Millionaire Raffle ticket holder, Camelot have recently announced that the EuroMillions winner has come forward at last.
Unclaimed lottery prizes are not uncommon and there have been many large prizes which are sadly never claimed, which leaves us with the question as to why people bother to buy lottery tickets? To lose out on such a life changing amount of money on the first EuroMillions draw of 2010 would have been tragic for the winner, so we would like to remind people to keep their tickets safe and remember to check them after every lottery draw whether it be the EuroMillions or any other lottery game.
We would also like to remind players of the EuroMillions Mega Draw which takes place this evening. In celebration of the EuroMillions 6th birthday there will be a fantastic €85 million jackpot to play for tonight which is certainly something for lottery players to get excited about. Players in the UK will still be able to play the Millionaire Raffle game as normal, the way this is played or indeed the main lottery game does not change.
