Euromillions Jackpot Won As Powerball Rolls
Wednesday November 14th 2012The Euromillions and the US Powerball went head to head this week, as two of the biggest lotteries in the world saw monster jackpots created by approximately a dozen rollovers. The Powerball has been rolling over since 29th September 2012, and the Euromillions has its last win just the day before, on 28th September 2012. However, whilst the Powerball jackpot has continued to elude players, the Euromillions finally saw an end to its rollover marathon, as one French player matched all five numbers and two Lucky Stars to win that jackpot! Read on for jackpot details for both.
The Euromillions jackpot reached €169.8 million in time for the draw last night, which took place in Paris, France. This huge jackpot would have been just one more rollover away from reaching its jackpot cap of €190 million if this lucky player had not scooped the top prize last night. As it is, this is the second highest jackpot seen this year on the Euromillions, and occurs just 16 weeks after the highest jackpot ever, which was won on 10th August 2012 by a couple from the UK. Well done to them.
The Powerball, on the other hand, continues to roll over. The jackpot currently stands at an estimated $185 million in time for the next draw which will take place tonight, Wednesday 14th November 2012. If this jackpot rolls again, players can expect to see it break the $200 million barrier, and this is when things really get interesting. However, if it does not roll again and the jackpot is won, then equally, things will get incredibly interesting for that player!
However, you have to be in it to win it, as they say, so if you want to be in with a chance of scooping that Powerball jackpot, make sure you buy tickets for the Powerball now, to be sure that you don’t miss out! Good luck!
