Cash Pop Game Launches in FL, SC and VA

Monday January 24th 2022

Cash Pop, which is already played in Georgia, is a little bit different to other draw games. When a ticket is printed, the lottery terminal randomly chooses the prize value for each number from a range of amounts that the wager is eligible for. For example, a $1 wager will have a lower range of potential prize values than a $5 wager.

If your number matches the one drawn by the lottery, you win the payout amount shown on your ticket for that number.

Florida Cash Pop

FL Cash Pop had its first draws in the Sunshine State on January 3. Cash Pop replaced the Fast Play games, which were retired on January 2.

Simply choose one lucky number from 1 through 15 - or ask for a Quick Pick - and wager $1, $2, or $5. If your number matches the one drawn by the lottery, you'll hit the payout printed on your ticket for that number. The top prize is $1,250 on a $5 bet.

Players have five chances to win every day of the week - here are the daily draw times (EST):

  • Morning: 8:45 am
  • Matinée: 11:45 am
  • Afternoon: 2:45 pm
  • Evening: 6:45 pm
  • Late Night: 11:45 pm

If you've already played, check your FL Cash Pop numbers to see if you've won a prize.

"The Lottery is continuously evaluating our games and product offerings to keep the interest of our current players and to reach new players," a Florida Lottery spokesperson said. "Cash Pop has performed well in other lottery jurisdictions and shows significant revenue potential to generate additional money for education in Florida.

"We are very excited to offer our players this new game; players enjoy the ease of play and incredible odds of winning and that's exactly what the new Cash Pop Draw game will provide!"

South Carolina Cash Pop

SC Cash Pop ticket sales started on January 17, as the SCEC added another game for players to try in 2022, with the chance to win up to $2,500 every day.

Drawings are held twice a day Monday through Saturday, although on Sunday only the Evening draw takes place. The Evening draws are also televised on local stations. Here are the draw times (EST):

  • Midday: 12:59 pm (Monday through Saturday)
  • Evening: 6:59 pm (Daily)

To play, pick a number from 1 to 15, called a Pop, and choose your wager - $1, $2, $5, or $10. The top prize is $2,500 on a $10 bet. Try the Cover All option to play every number for a guaranteed payout!

Virginia Cash Pop

Virginia is the latest lottery to add Cash Pop to its lineup. VA Cash Pop debuted on Monday, January 24, and with five draws a day, players have plenty of chances for a lucky break!

To get started, simply choose a number from 1 to 15, called a Pop, and pick your bet - $1, $2, $5, or $10. A $10 wager can win up to $2,500.

There are five drawings a day, seven days a week, so you have plenty of options to win great cash prizes. Below are the daily draw times for Cash Pop in EST:

  • Coffee Break: 9:00 am
  • Lunch Break: 12:00 pm
  • Rush Hour: 5:00 pm
  • Prime Time: 9:00 pm
  • After Hours: 11:59 pm

If you've already tried your luck on this brand-new game, check the VA Cash Pop page to see if you're a lucky winner.

"We are always looking for new games to bring to Virginia's players," Virginia Lottery Director of Marketing Terri Rose. "Several other states have launched this game, and we have talked with them to establish our game.

"This game is probably the easiest game that we've ever introduced - you pick one number from 1-15 - so we hope that this will attract new players to the Virginia Lottery since it is very simple and easy to play," Rose explained. "We are excited to see how this game will perform, and we look forward to engaging with our players in a new way."
