Cash Pop Expected to Be Launched in Maryland
Tuesday February 20th 2024Maryland Lottery is set to add a version of Cash Pop to its games portfolio. The game is expected to be launched in May 2024.
Lottery enthusiasts in Maryland can finally enjoy the flexibility of the Cash Pop game. Cash Pop has been developed by International Game Technology (IGT) and is currently available in over 10 states across the US.
As it’s become so increasingly popular, the Maryland Lottery is set to launch it as it has been confirmed that they signed a licensing agreement with IGT.
Jay Gendron, IGT Chief Operating Officer at Global Lottery, shared: “This licensing agreement between the Maryland Lottery and IGT for our proprietary Cash Pop game builds upon our strong momentum expanding the reach of this exciting game.
Cash Pop has yielded significant sales in jurisdictions where it’s available, and we believe it will enhance Maryland Lottery’s draw game portfolio with its simplistic and flexible gameplay features that players readily embrace.”
How Does MD Cash Pop Work?
In order to enter, you must select one number between 1 and 15. You then need to choose a wager amount which ranges from $1 to $10. The wager amounts are displayed below:
- $1 wager per number
- 2 wager per number
- $5 wager per number
- $10 wager per number
Draws will take place four times a day, every day and you will be able to enter multiple consecutive draws.
Cash Pop is a “two games in one” type of game as, once you place your wager, the lottery terminal will randomly assign the value of the prize which you will win in case you manage to match the drawn number.
Compared to other draw games, Cash Pop has better overall odds. Kate Airey, Director of Product Development for the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency, said: “We’re confident that the 1 in 15 odds of winning a single ‘Pop’ will resonate with our existing players, and the gameplay is easy to understand, which will help us engage a new generation of players.”
More details will be released in the future but, until then, you can enter Cash Pop in one of the already-participating states: Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, South Carolina, Virginia, Washington and West Virginia. The game will also be released in Maine in the near future.
